Bake Lakes, the Jewel in Cornwall's Angling Crown with 9 lakes and ponds set in 30 acres of glorious Cornish countryside is the true 'ONE STOP' angling destination offering something for everyone.

Situated in the stunning, peaceful Cornish countryside Bake Lakes provides that quiet, 'get away from it all' just a few minutes away from Trerulefoot roundabout on the main A38 road between Saltash and Liskeard.

First class coarse or specimen fishing in a wide variety of settings suitable for the expert and beginner alike, on site tackle and bait shop, qualified and licenced tuition in coarse fishing; it's all available at Bake Lakes.

Home to a wide variety of birds, wildfowl, mammals and the two rarest dragonflies in the country, Bake Lakes is a wonderful place to combine a day’s fishing with bird watching and, if you are lucky on a summers day, a sighting of a Lesser Emperor or Red Veined Darter Dragonfly among the Emperors, Common Darters and Black Tailed Skimmers that abound along the margins of the waterside.

Kingfishers are seen daily; often feeding in the lakes from the branches of a waterside willow or alder and we are visited by foxes, badgers and the occasional deer.

The winter brings in more varieties of wildfowl and Bake Lakes is often a temporary home for a lost and rare visitor.

Snag Alley
A small pond in the old watercourse. As its name implies, Snag Alley is full of underwater hazards and for many of us, takes us back to the fishing that we did as boys.Situated adjacent to Luxor, Snag Alley holds a good head of carp and Tench and floating bait tactics work well here.

The Canal
The southernmost of the two old watercourse ponds, this steep sided pond, Fished carefully on the near bank slope, can provide some outstanding fishing with its head of hard fighting Carp in the 2 to 5 pound mark predominating. The pond also enjoys excellent floating bait fishing. Accuracy in plumbing the depth and casting here will pay dividends in the size of the catch.
