The lake is located on Barwell Lane in Hinckley close to Hinckley’s Asda superstore and is not to be confused with the larger pit which is adjacent to the Asda superstore.
The lake in places reaches depths of just over 6 metres (about 20 feet) which is typical of an old clay pit of this type.
It is kept secure 24 hrs a day to safeguard the general public and also to prevent anglers being disturbed during their fishing sessions.
The water landscaping has been professionally carried out and the fish stock management has been carefully identified to give the fishery years of enjoyment for the local people of Hinckley, Barwell and Earl Shilton.
The club has employed the latest environmentally sensitive strategies to give the lake the most natural look possible to enhance the experience of sitting by the waterside catching good quality fish.
There is a small car park within the club grounds which adds extra security and ease of access.
The club feels that it is important for the health and welfare of the wildlife and fish stocks to have a fishing close season and at the end of the closed season we are giving everyone the opportunity to either join the club on the day or just to have look around and relish the beautiful surroundings that our members enjoy on every visit!
