This lake, originally named Hyes Lake, dates back more than 500 years and was once used in the production of cannons and cannon balls for the Tudor Navies.

The Hyes Lake has a clay bottom and is constantly supplied with water from the Furnace Lake.

This lake has clean Ladies & Gentlemens toilets with lodge and cooking facilities nearby.

Due to triple takes and the high volume of fish landed, Hyes is a maximum of 2 rods per angler.
