Even though it is only three-quarters of an acre in size, Small Lake is a most attractive and interesting pool with plenty of bankside vegetation, an island, promontory and bays which give the angler plenty of features to fish to.

It contains a variety of species including Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench, Golden Tench, Mirror Carp, Common Carp and, Perch, Tench, Golden Tench, Mirror Carp, Common Carp and large Crucian< Carp to 3lb 12oz.

The Carp are steadily growing with many between 8 and 15lb, with some over 20lb.

Best methods include floater fishing in the summer months (but please be careful to keep an eye on the wildfowl), method feeders with pellet or boilies as hookbaits.

Float fishing with a single maggot or worms on the drop will account for Roach and Perch, one a cast.

Ideal for youngsters and beginners.
