The Quarry is a 25 acre gravel pit in Boreham, Essex.
It has been run as a syndicate for nearly twenty years but is now available for anyone to fish on a day-ticket basis.
(pre-booking required).
The lake is beautifully mature with an abundance of overhanging trees, weed and lillies.
The crystal clear depths range from 5-16 feet and are home to some truly stunning carp, pike and huge tench.
There are currently approximately 250 carp present with some more to be added.
The sizes range from mid-doubles to over 40lbs with plenty of 20’s and 30’s.
Although the lake is fairly large, much of the fishing is at a comfortable range with many swims ‘best spots’ within 60 yards of the bank.
The fish in the Quarry are bait mad and large beds of pellet and chopped boilie will get you bites.
There are toilets at various locations around the lake.
