Milton Pan Lake (syndicate)

12 Acre(s)

The Pan Lake is one of our prized waters.

Dug in the 1970s, this stunning 12 acre mature gravel pit is home to some of the biggest specimen fish we have at MKF.

Each fish in this lake has real character, one of which is a beast of a common, named Swirly, which is an upper 40lb fish.

There are believed to be between 80 to 100 carp present in the lake, with around 10 upper 30’s, and four 40’s to 46lbs.

No surprise it has been described as one of the UK’s premiere fisheries by Rob Hughes.

Paul Forward found his first season “tricky”, although he did bag two fish in his first session.

This stunning gin clear venue, is a good over night water, with easy access to the lake.

As mentioned, this venue is one for the specimen angler, holding not just huge carp, but potentially record breaking tench.

The famous Martin Bowler once quoted “the Pan Lake is probably the best Tench Fisheries in the country”.

In a 48 hour session, Martin landed 8 tench over 10lb, 13 over 9lbs and 23 over 8lb.

This notorious venue also featured in Martins DVD and book, Catching The Impossible, where he describes the magical night he had catching some of the best tench in the country.

But it does not end there… This venue is home to monster sized pike.

The club record pike was landed from this venue at an outstanding 36lbs, an absolute beast.

This is what makes this venue so unique, it is an all round PB breaker, a real specimen hunters paradise.

The car park is located next to the Pan, which is shared with the Handle members.

Please ensure that the gate is locked at all times and under no circumstances should be left open or unlocked.

If this is the case, you will face disciplinary action.

There is a shed located next to the gate where you have to sign in, we urge all Pan members to do so, even if you are down for a few hours.

There is a limit on how long you can stay on all of our syndicates, 48 hours per season with a 24 hour break before returning to fish.

You can arrange to stay longer providing it is cleared with management.

We urge any suspicious behaviour to be reported to a member of staff immediately.

We do have a waiting list for this venue, to apply simply drop us an email, when a space is avalible you will be given first refusal.

We appreciate £600 is a lot of money to pay out in one go, we are happy to set up monthly installments which can be arranged by the office.

We do not have a close season on this venue; however, please expect swim / lake closures while the fish are spawning.

Feel free to contact us before you travel to the lakes to ensure they are open as usual.
