The fishery is owned and managed by David and Joanne Lidstone.

Dave has been a keen angler since he was a toddler, travelling all over the world in pursuit of fresh and salt water species.

He has featured in many angling press articles, and it’s fair to say he is a highly knowledgeable tackle and bait fanatic.

For 8 years, they owned and ran Jo-Jo’s fishery in France, after turning the derelict, overgrown site into a popular, highly successful carp and cat fishery.

Here is where they also built their knowledge and reputation for service provision and fisheries management, as a registered fish farmer and fisheries consultant, an activity which he is continuing in England.

Jo - Jo’s fishery also won the “best family venue” in France award, for 2005 / 6, in the angling press.

Joanne is also a very capable angler in her own right, having successfully taken on the mighty Ebro in Spain, and the big waters in France.

Both are passionate about their fisheries, and this is reflected in the fact that they have a very loyal customer base, some of whom have shown interest in, or already booked fishing trips to Emperor Lakes.

Dave has fisheries qualifications, which give him a firm knowledge base and understanding of the importance of ecological balance, which results in the creation of outstanding fisheries.
